1. Definitions

“Company” refers to Not The Colouring In Department.
“Client” refers to any marketing professional purchasing or booking services from the Company.
“Services” refers to the Consultation, CV Rewrite, and Interview Guidance services offered by the Company.
“Agreement” refers to these Terms of Business, accepted by the Client via electronic consent before booking.
 

2. Scope of Services

Not The Colouring In Department provides tailored career development services for marketing professionals, including:
 

1. Consultation – A one-hour discussion resulting in written feedback and recommendations for progression.

   • Clients may add a CV Rewrite or Interview Guidance session as a follow-on for a reduced fee of £100 each.
      

2. CV Rewrite Service – A two-stage process:

   • Initial 45-minute consultation to define goals and direction.

   • Delivery of a rewritten CV in Word and PDF formats with an accompanying written overview.

   • Payable 50% upon booking and 50% upon completion.
      

3. Interview Guidance – A one-to-one session designed to prepare the Client for specific interviews, including likely questions and how to position experience effectively.
    

All sessions are delivered remotely via video or phone call unless otherwise agreed in writing.
 

3. Fees and Payment

• Consultation and Interview Guidance: Payment is required in full at the time of booking.

• CV Rewrite Service: 50% deposit payable at booking and 50% upon completion and delivery.

• Payments are accepted via PayPal or other approved online methods.

• Bookings are not confirmed until the required payment or deposit is received.
   

4. Rescheduling and Cancellations
 

• No cancellations are permitted once a booking has been made.

• Clients may reschedule once only, to a time available within three (3) months of the original booking date.

• Rescheduling must be requested at least 24 hours in advance of the original appointment time and is subject to availability.

• Failure to attend or to request a reschedule within the timeframe will result in forfeiture of the session and all payments made.

• For CV Rewrite Services, if the Client attends the initial consultation but does not complete the follow-up within two weeks, the remaining 50% balance will still be due.
   

These conditions ensure the Company’s time is protected and session slots are managed fairly.
 

5. Delivery and Completion
 

CV Rewrite Service:

• The service is deemed complete once the rewritten CV and accompanying overview have been sent to the Client via email. Payment is due upon confirmation that services have been completed, the approach and rationale behind changes. 
   

Consultation and Interview Guidance:

• These services are deemed complete once the session has taken place and the Client has received written notes or feedback by email.
   

6. Data Protection and Privacy (GDPR Compliance)

• The Company complies with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).

• Personal data collected through forms, email, or consultation is used solely to deliver the agreed services.

• Data is never shared with third parties without explicit consent.

• Client information is securely stored and deleted upon request or after 12 months of inactivity.

• Clients may request access to or deletion of their data at any time by emailing hello@notthecolouringindepartment.com.

7. Liability

The Company provides advisory and creative services and makes no guarantee of employment, interview outcomes, or job placement.
The Company is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from the use of its services.
 

8. Governing Law

This Agreement and any disputes arising under it shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the UK courts.
 

9. Acceptance of Terms

By ticking the acceptance box or submitting a booking request, the Client confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Business.
